Who uses file requests
- Photographers and videographers collecting raw footage from clients or second shooters.
- Accountants and lawyers receiving documents without asking clients to create yet another account.
- Teachers collecting assignments and project videos from students.
- Anyone who wants a "send me the files" link for an email signature or bio.
How it works
- Tap Create my request link. Your browser creates a private, random link and QR code.
- Share the link. People open it in any browser on any device.
- They add files and press send. You see who is sending and tap Allow.
- Files stream straight to your device. Each one shows Verified once both sides compute the same SHA-256 checksum, and you can download a transfer receipt.
What to know before you rely on it
Because files are never parked on a server, your device must be online with Sendryo open (or installed as an app with notifications on) to receive. If you need people to drop files while you are offline, a cloud file request (Dropbox, Google Drive or OneDrive) is the better fit. You can turn your link off or replace it with a new one at any time, which instantly stops the old one working.
Privacy
The link contains a random ID, not your name or email. We never see the files, and transfers are encrypted end to end by the browser. Read more on our security page.
Frequently asked questions
Does the other person need an account?
No. They open your link in any browser, add files and press send.
Where do the files go?
Straight to the device where your link is turned on. They are not uploaded to a server, so your device has to be online with Sendryo open (or installed as an app) to receive.
Can strangers spam me?
Every new sender needs your approval before any data is accepted, and you can turn the link off or replace it with a new one at any time.
Is there a size limit?
We do not set one. The practical limit is free space on your device.
